It has been boggling my mind

Recently I have been wondering about the lyric "where we going we don't need roads..."
If they don't need roads, where are they going? How are they going to get there? By car? Maybe an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) maybe they will hike up a mountain...I don't know. I also don't know where they are going.

Far and away the Metallica edition is the greatest I've ever seen.
